ErgoWaste : Ergonomic Smart Dustbin

        ErgoWaste is an ergonomically designed smart dustbin. Unlike other dustbins, ours is orientated to promote waste management towards the disabled. For instance, paralyzed people who need extra help with simple everyday tasks, and fellow amputees who lost one or almost all their limbs due to certain events.

         With this in mind, our innovation uses an ultrasonic sensor to detect movement, triggering a micro servo motor to open the dustbin automatically. Thus, significantly alleviate their lives by automating waste management, removing the need for manual hand or foot operation. Additionally, our innovation not only improves daily convenience but also supports a more inclusive and accessible environment for all users, strongly relating to SDG11 : Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

       To conclude, ErgoWaste is the perfect solution for people who suffer from nerve and muscle complications. Moreover, this innovation also promotes hand hygiene while discarding trash by eliminating the need to manually open the dustbin.
