TypeFOCUSVAULT is a smart phone lock box prototype designed to help students and families build healthier digital habits and reduce excessive smartphone usage. Nowadays, many children and teenagers spend long hours on mobile phones without proper control, affecting their focus, sleep quality, studies, and social interaction. This project aims to provide a practical and modern solution to encourage self-discipline and responsible phone usage.

The prototype consists of a compact lockable box that securely stores a smartphone inside. Once the phone is placed into the box and the lid is closed, the system automatically locks using a servo motor mechanism controlled by an ESP32 microcontroller. The device can only be unlocked with parental approval through a simple Bluetooth-based control system. If someone attempts to open the box without permission, a buzzer alarm will activate as a warning system.

FocusVault also includes an OLED display to show the lock status, remaining lock time, and daily phone usage information. The prototype is designed using low-cost and school-friendly materials such as PVC board, foam board, acrylic, and simple electronic components, making it suitable for STEM and innovation-based learning projects.

This project promotes healthy digital wellbeing, self-control, and better time management among students. In the future, the system can be expanded with additional features such as mobile app integration, live notifications, camera monitoring, and cloud-based usage analytics.
