This project proposes the development of a Work From Home (WFH) Calendar System, a web-based information management system designed to support structured coordination, visibility, and administrative control of hybrid working arrangements. The system addresses the limitations of informal WFH tracking methods such as messaging applications, email communication, verbal updates, and manually maintained spreadsheets, which often result in fragmented records, limited auditability, and reduced management visibility. The proposed system enables employees to register, view, cancel, and reactivate full-day WFH entries through an interactive calendar interface with day, week, and month views. It also provides administrative functions, including user management, team assignment, WFH reporting, CSV export, notification handling, and audit logging. The system is developed using PHP, Laravel, MySQL, Blade templates, Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, and FullCalendar, following the Model-View-Controller architectural pattern. The project adopts the Waterfall Model to ensure a systematic development process covering requirement analysis, system design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and handover. The database design includes structured entities for departments, teams, users, WFH entries, notifications, activity logs, and administrative audit logs. Overall, the proposed WFH Calendar System is expected to improve organisational accountability, workforce planning, team coordination, and data reliability by transforming WFH scheduling into a centralised, secure, and auditable digital process.
