Rising global temperatures have increased the risk of heat-related illnesses such as heat exhaustion and heat stroke, particularly among students and individuals exposed to hot environments. To address this challenge, LUNEA was developed as an innovative cooling blanket designed to provide immediate cooling relief and enhance comfort during periods of extreme heat.
LUNEA features a soft outer layer and a unique cooling core containing menthol crystals, starch, salt, and mineral water. This combination produces a cooling effect that helps absorb and dissipate body heat, supporting safer body temperature regulation. Unlike conventional cooling solutions that require electricity or expensive equipment, LUNEA is portable, affordable, and easy to use.
By transforming simple materials into a practical health-support solution, LUNEA promotes well-being and helps communities adapt to rising temperatures. The project aligns primarily with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and supports Sustainable Development Goal 13 (Climate Action) through climate adaptation and heat resilience.
