ABSTRACT
Many Form 6 Post Secondary English Language (PSEL) students struggle with idea scarcity, weak evidence use, and limited academic speaking practice. This project introduces M-INSIGHT, a structured, scalable process (not a product) using the 6I SOP: Identify–Inquire–Investigate–Integrate–Illustrate–Interact/Improve to build information literacy and CEFR B2–C1 oral performance through seminar-style presentation. The objective is to scaffold idea generation, source credibility checks, synthesis, visualisation, and argument delivery. The target users for this innovation are the Post-secondary ESL/MUET students and teachers seeking transparent, assessable, and replicable routines. The features of this innovation is the use of multi-dimensional rubrics, poster/slide seminars, and pre-post evaluation indicating gains in idea fluency, evidence quality, Toulmin-based rhetorical clarity, and speaking confidence. The approach is cost-effective, data-informed, and shifts focus from static products to a transparent process that is easy to evaluate and scale. All in all, M-INSIGHT P6I aligns with PAK21 and SDG4, supports rubric standardisation with CEFR, and is adaptable across disciplines, offering an authentic model for competency growth via planned, inclusive seminars.
