Stationery products are widely used in daily life, yet many commercial highlighters contain synthetic chemicals and artificial fragrances that may pose health and environmental concerns, especially for young children. Therefore, this project proposes the development of a natural and edible highlighter formulated from plant-based materials such as flowers, fruits, coffee grounds, and pomace, combined with food-grade glycerine, citric acid, and ethanol. The product offers naturally derived pigments and pleasant organic aromas while remaining environmentally sustainable and non-toxic. In addition, the edible formulation allows safe application in pastry and cake decoration. This innovation promotes child safety, sustainability, and the utilization of biodegradable natural resources in stationery production.
