This project focused on creating a low-cost air quality monitoring system using an ESP32 Microcontroller with MQ-7 and MQ-135 gas sensors. The primary motivation for this project was to deal with the critical public health and environmental issues caused by poor air quality. The system was designed and implemented to detect air quality and carbon monoxide (CO); then, an OLED screen will display the real-time data. By assembling the components, writing the code and connecting the sensors, a portable device capable of providing accurate and immediate air quality readings was successfully created. The results indicated that the system effectively detected carbon monoxide (CO) and air quality levels in the campus surroundings, demonstrating its potential as a reliable tool for monitoring air quality. The significance of these findings depends on the system's ability to increase environmental awareness and contribute to public safety by providing easily accessible air quality information. This portable and efficient device can be used in both urban and rural areas, which can help the communities take preventive measures against air pollution and its harmful effects.
