This STEM project explores the innovative recycling of paper using banana peels, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 12, 13, and 15. By transforming organic waste into recycled paper, the project addresses food and paper waste reduction, promotes sustainable production, and mitigates climate change by decreasing methane emissions from landfills. The process involves utilizing banana peels and old newspapers to create eco-friendly paper products suitable for crafting, notebooks, and artistic projects. This method not only conserves natural resources and reduces the need for virgin materials but also fosters a circular economy, encouraging continuous reuse of materials and supporting environmental sustainability. The project highlights the potential of creative, eco-friendly solutions in waste management and resource conservation.
