This innovation project transforms fruit peels and vegetable residues into value-added, sustainable products that support waste minimization and circular resource use. Fruit peels – orange, honeydew, and dragon fruit and vegetable residues – carrot waste, lady’s fingers, and coconut pulp. These wastes are processed to develop biodegradable plastic liners, green shower oil/liquid soap, plant compost, bio-compost fertiliser, seed paper, and natural pH paper. The project uses simple preparation, extraction, drying, formulation, and testing methods to evaluate product yield, biodegradability, pH colour response, compost maturity, and practical functionality. The innovative products are low-cost and eco-friendly, reducing domestic organic waste while promoting sustainable innovation for homes, schools, and communities. This aligns with SDGs 4, 12, and 13, 15 and supports pre-entry/B40 economic activities.
