ABSTRACT

These days, methane gas is one of the reasons that makes our planet become worse and worse from day to day. Methane gas can cause thinning of the ozone layer which allows radioactive sunrays to enter our planet which can cause health problems such as cancer towards humans and infertile of plants. Methane (CH4), which is mostly emitted when cows burp, is produced in the rumen of the cows by microbes. These microbes are naturally present in all ruminant animals. The average dairy cow produces about 98 kg of methane annually, with 95 per cent coming from digestion. New Zealand studies have shown that about 21-22 grams of methane are produced per kg of dry matter Methane has a relatively short life of 12 years. After 12 years, 80 to 89 percent of methane breakdowns into carbon dioxide and water, which is why it is considered a short-lived gas. Despite its short lifespan, methane has an intense warming effect. It is more than 25 times as potent as carbon dioxide at trapping heat in the atmosphere.Hence,humans need to think how to overcome this problem. One of the ways is to neutralize the releases of methane gas from cows. We introduce to you our product called Grassuela which is a new invention of cow foods which introduces a way to decrease the content of methane gas in the atmosphere. Grassuela contains red seaweed which contains a chemical substance called bromoform which can neutralize the methane gas output from the stomach of cattle animals. Thus, decreasing the methane gas releases from cows.We will also include unsaturated fats which can remove H2 (hydrogen gas) away from methane production to saturate the fat (H2 sink). Producers can increase the profitability of their operation by incorporating carbohydrates in a cattle diet, increasing feed intake, processing forages and offering a diet that includes unsaturated fat.we hope to target markets are companies, industries and agricultural entrepreneur.
