Vermicomposting is a method that uses earthworms to break down organic materials into nutrient - rich compost . A key innovation in this process is the vermicompost with bin drawer , designed to separate matured compost from undecomposed material . This system is efficient for organic waste management , particularly in households and urban areas .The study uses African Worms ( Eisenia Fetida ) , known for their high decomposition capacity . Additiorally , the worm tower concept allows for vertical waste processing , simplifying maintenance . This research aims to acsess the effectivness of this system in improving composting speed quality and it's potential for household waste management .
