The innovation project Euphornicus is a mosquito repellent and an anti-insecticide that was produced from natural plants; Euphorbia hirtaand Plectranthusamboinicus. These plants are selected due to their cheap price and easily obtained raw materials in conjunction with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being. Nowadays, most insect repellents sold in the market contain lots of chemicals such as DEET (N,N-DIETIL-META-TOLUAMIDE) which can cause irritation to sensitive skins. Moreover, the main objectives of producing Euphornicus are to spread benefits about Euphorbia hirta and Plectranthusamboinicus and produce insect repellent that does not contain harmful chemicals and is suitable for all ages. Furthermore, to ensure the efficiency of the product, the insect bite test on human’s skin and body was conducted. The test showed that the human skin surface which was sprayed with Euphornicus was least likely to be bitten by insects compared to the skin surface that was not sprayed with Euphornicus. In conclusion, Euphornicus Mosquito Repellent and Anti Insectide can repel insects and does not cause irritation to sensitive skins. This project has great potential since it brings a great impact to the community. The futuretarget is to produce Euphornicus Air Fresher that can improve air quality and repel insects in the air. Euphornicus Mosquito Repellent and Anti Insectiside is ready to be commercialized in a large scale.
