CompoBot is an innovative smart composting solution designed to address the growing issue of food waste and its environmental impact. Developed by Team EcoTerra from SMJK Jit Sin, this compact device utilizes an ESP32-CAM module to monitor and assist the organic waste composting process within households. Equipped with a stirring motor, soil moisture sensor, and an automatic water pump, CompoBot ensures optimal composting conditions by actively maintaining moisture and aeration levels. The waste is collected through a controlled top opening and stored in a removable inner container installed with a rail system for easy access and fertilizer retrieval. By supporting sustainable waste management practices, CompoBot aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and Goal 13 (Climate Action). This student-led project represents a practical step toward eco-conscious living and scalable composting solutions.
