Attendance monitoring during clinical placement and internship programmes remains a challenge, particularly in hospital settings where many facilities still rely on manual attendance recording using logbooks. This method limits real-time monitoring by lecturers and clinical instructors who are not continuously present at training facilities, resulting in issues related to attendance accuracy, transparency, and record management. Therefore, InternTrack was developed to address these limitations through a digital attendance monitoring approach.

InternTrack is a web-based internship attendance management system developed using Google Apps Script. The system facilitates digital clock-in and clock-out activities using timestamp and location verification features to improve attendance accuracy and reduce manual documentation. The platform provides dedicated interfaces for students, supervisors, and administrators. Students are able to record attendance, review attendance history, and generate monthly reports, while supervisors and administrators can monitor attendance status in real time, manage records, and oversee multiple training locations through a centralized dashboard.

The implementation of InternTrack is expected to improve the efficiency, transparency, and accuracy of attendance management for internship and clinical placement programmes. In addition, the system enhances monitoring capabilities for lecturers and clinical instructors while supporting the digitalization of training administration processes.
