Smart AttendX 2.0: Smart Academic Enforcement Platform is a proposed innovation designed to improve student attendance management in higher education institutions through digital automation and real-time monitoring. Currently, the submission of medical certificates (MC) and absence letters is often handled manually through emails or messaging applications, leading to disorganized records and difficulties in monitoring student attendance.

AttendX 2.0 introduces a structured digital system that allows students to upload MCs or absence letters within a specified time frame, while lecturers can review and approve the documents through the platform. The system automatically calculates students’ absence percentages and triggers progressive disciplinary actions such as Warning Letter 1, Warning Letter 2, and BAR status when attendance limits are exceeded. In addition, the platform provides visual dashboard monitoring, automated notifications, and exam slip integration to support early identification of at-risk students. Overall, the system enhances transparency, improves administrative efficiency, and strengthens academic governance.
