This project introduces the design of a solar-powered clothes dryer that provides an alternative method of drying garments during rainy or humid conditions. Conventional drying depends on sunlight and open-air exposure, which is limited during unfavorable weather. The proposed system utilizes solar panels to capture and convert solar energy into electrical power, which is then used to operate heating elements and a small fan within an enclosed drying chamber. The chamber ensures protection from rain while maintaining efficient airflow and heat distribution for faster drying. This eco-friendly solution reduces dependence on electric dryers, lowers household energy consumption, and offers a sustainable approach to daily needs. The solar dryer highlights the potential of renewable energy in practical household applications, especially in regions with frequent rainfall.
