SolarTherm SmartRack is a solar-powered intelligent drying system designed to provide an eco-friendly and space-efficient solution for household laundry drying challenges. Many households and dormitories experience slow drying during rainy or humid weather, limited space for hanging clothes, and high electricity consumption from conventional dryers. This project aims to develop clothes drying device powered entirely by solar energy, accelerate drying through maximum heat absorption, optimize space usage with a foldable design, and protect clothes from rain and outdoor moisture.

The system utilizes a black heat-absorbing box to maximize solar radiation absorption, converting sunlight into thermal energy to enhance the drying process. By applying the greenhouse effect, heat is trapped inside the enclosure, increasing internal temperature and improving drying efficiency. Controlled airflow through strategically placed ventilation ensures effective moisture removal while preventing dampness and odor. Additionally, a weather-responsive automatic cover provides protection during rainfall.
