YS1799: SMART RAIN HARVEST

NIK NUR ZUHAYRA NASRIN BINTI NIK ZAKRI SEKOLAH TUN FATIMAH

SmartRain Harvest is an advanced rainwater harvesting system that promotes sustainable water management and reduces waste. Many buildings let rainwater go unused, increasing reliance on treated water and raising utility costs. This project offers an automated solution that collects, filters, stores, and monitors rainwater using smart technology and renewable energy. Key features include rain sensors, water filtration, storage monitoring, IoT-based mobile tracking, and a solar-powered pump. SmartRain Harvest conserves water, supports environmental sustainability, and lowers long-term water expenses. It is suitable for residential, educational, agricultural, and commercial applications. Future enhancements may include AI weather prediction, smart irrigation, and leak detection. This project aligns with the VIC 2026 theme, “Unlocking Tomorrow – Hack the Impossible,” by making rainwater a smart, reusable resource.
