Every student has different emotion and needs to be handle differently because it can influence student development. However, studies exploring the types of emotions and factors that influence emotions among primary school remedial students in rural areas are still limited. Therefore, through semi-structured interviews with six purposively sampled students, thematic analysis revealed that peer support contributed to positive emotions, happy while teachers' aggressive nature contributed to negative emotions, fear and worry among remedial students. It is suggested that the findings of this study can increase teachers' awareness of primary school remedial students' emotional needs and be empathetic towards these students.
