In normal practice, one pump is used to cover one plot. If the pump cannot provide the operating water pressure the option is to increase the pump horsepower or by adding auxiliary pump or by limiting the number of operating emitters via stopcock. The most viable option is always by controlling the emitter number. Manual operation can cause error where this system used microcontroller with the integration of capacitive soil moisture sensors and solenoid valves to deliver water based on real time soil requirement. This project used an automatic sequential irrigation strategy to manage hydraulic pressure by watering only one plot at a time.
