Pineergy Pads converts pineapple skin waste into biodegradable paper batteries, offering a more sustainable alternative to traditional energy storage. These eco-friendly batteries achieve an average voltage of 1.58V by processing pineapple waste into pulp, mixing it with conductive materials such as graphene, and incorporating saltwater electrolyte with copper and zinc electrodes, which is comparable to commercial batteries. This innovation addresses both agricultural waste management and clean energy needs, while outperforming zinc-carbon batteries and approaching alkaline and lithium coin cells. Pineergy Pads offer a promising solution for long-term energy storage that does not harm the environment.
