The purpose of this project is to construct a web-based Task Management System (TMS) to increase task coordination and operational efficiency within Examedia Solution Sdn. Bhd.'s Sales Department. The present task management technique is based on informal communication means such as WhatsApp, email, and spoken instructions, which causes challenges such as a lack of work visibility, ambiguous task ownership, ineffective deadline tracking, and restricted performance monitoring. To address these difficulties, the proposed system offers a single platform for organized task creation, assignment, tracking, and reporting. The system is built with PHP and MySQL and has a three-tier architecture that includes presentation, application, and data layers. It supports three user roles: Admin, Supervisor, and Staff, and uses role-based access control to ensure optimal system usage and security. Supervisors can assign tasks, employees can update task status in real time, deadline notifications are automated, and reports can be generated for performance monitoring. The system was created utilizing the Waterfall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) technique, which ensures a structured and systematic development process. Overall, the Task Management System improves productivity, accountability, and transparency by offering a dependable and efficient solution for task management within the firm.
