Mikro Heroes Adventure is a fun learning project created to help Standard 6 students understand the topic of microorganisms in a simple, colourful, and exciting way. Many students find microorganisms difficult to imagine because they are too small to be seen with our eyes. Therefore, this project turns microorganisms into friendly cartoon characters called “Mikro Heroes” so that students can learn through stories, visuals, and simple explanations. The project introduces five main types of microorganisms, namely bacteria, viruses, fungi, algae, and protozoa. It also explains their basic needs, such as food, water, suitable temperature, oxygen, and a suitable place to grow. Besides that, the project teaches students that microorganisms can be useful, such as helping to make food like bread and yoghurt, but some can also be harmful by causing sickness and food spoilage. Students will also learn simple ways to store food safely, such as keeping food in the refrigerator, using sealed containers, drying food, and heating or boiling food properly. This project is important because it makes science easier to understand, more interesting, and closer to daily life. Through Mikro Heroes Adventure, students can enjoy learning science while understanding how microorganisms affect food, health, and the environment.
