Bullying and student misconduct remain critical challenges within contemporary educational systems, significantly affecting students’ psychological well-being, academic performance, and overall school climate. Despite increasing awareness, underreporting continues to hinder effective intervention due to fear, lack of trust, and inadequate reporting mechanisms. This study introduces SafeZone BN 2.0, a Smart Anti-Bullying and School Discipline Monitoring System that integrates artificial intelligence (AI), facial recognition, real-time reporting, and cloud-based analytics to address these challenges. Developed using Flutter, Firebase, and Python-based facial recognition, the system enables secure identity verification, immediate incident reporting, and centralized case management. Unlike many conceptual solutions, SafeZone BN 2.0 has been successfully implemented at Sekolah Arab Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (SASHHB), Brunei Darussalam, and is currently entering its second year of deployment, demonstrating measurable improvements in reporting efficiency, accountability, and disciplinary management. The innovation has also received national and international recognition, including the Merit Award at the Brunei ICT Awards (BICTA) 2025, Champion at CELIK-BIZ 2025, Gold Award at the International Invention & Innovative Competition (InIIC) 2025, and Gold Medal at the International Invention, Innovation and Design Competition (i3DC) 2026. Aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3, SDG 4, and SDG 16) and the aspirations of Wawasan Brunei 2035, SafeZone BN 2.0 represents a scalable, evidence-based, and data-driven solution capable of transforming school safety, student well-being, and discipline management systems at both national and international levels.
