This study explores the recycling and reuse of home-made benzoin resin, a natural aromatic resin obtained from the Styrax species of trees, traditionally used in incense, perfumery, and herbal medicine. As interest grows in sustainable practices and circular economies, the reuse of natural materials becomes increasingly important. Benzoin resin, when used in domestic applications such as incense burning or solvent extraction, often leaves behind residue or partially consumed material that is typically discarded. This research aims to evaluate practical methods for collecting and reprocessing used benzoin resin into a reusable form without significantly diminishing its aromatic or chemical properties.
