GAMOCON is an innovative gamification-based learning tool designed to enhance students’ understanding and retention of microeconomics concepts through structured game mechanics and interactive learning activities. In today’s rapidly evolving economic environment, economics literacy has become increasingly important; however, many students continue to struggle with abstract theories, complex terminology, and calculation-based topics in microeconomics. Conventional teaching approaches often lead to low engagement, weak conceptual understanding, and difficulty remembering interconnected economics concepts. GAMOCON addresses this educational challenge by integrating game mechanics that systematically categorize and connect economics concepts into the appropriate subtopics, enabling learners to better organize, recall, and understand the overall subject content. The innovation focuses on reinforcing memory retention through interactive challenges, topic-based learning progression, and concept-mapping gameplay tailored to digital-native learners. The main objective of GAMOCON is to simplify microeconomics learning while improving students’ cognitive understanding, engagement, and long-term memory of key concepts. Unlike conventional learning methods, GAMOCON transforms fragmented economics theories into an engaging and structured learning experience that supports active learning, educational sustainability, and quality education aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education).
