Water is an essential resource for all living organisms, yet it is becoming increasingly scarce in many regions. Rainwater harvesting offers a simple, eco-friendly solution to this problem by collecting and storing rainwater for non-potable uses. This model demonstrates how rainwater can be harvested from rooftops using basic materials such as a small roof-like structure, a funnel or pipe, and a storage container like a bucket or bottle. The setup involves placing the roof at an angle to allow water flow, which is then directed through a funnel into the container. This collected water can be used for everyday tasks such as watering plants and cleaning, reducing reliance on treated tap water. Rainwater harvesting not only conserves water but also raises awareness about sustainable living. Schools and households are encouraged to adopt this system and maintain it regularly. Overall, it is a cost-effective and environmentally friendly method to combat water scarcity.
