ST674: RUMAH HAJI SU REBORN: AN AR TRIBUTE TO TERENGGANU LEGACY

MUHAMMAD ZULHILMI BIN MOHD ZAILANI UNIVERSITY KUALA LUMPUR MALAYSIAN INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (UNIKL MIIT)

Rumah Warisan Haji Su is a traditional Malay heritage home in Losong, Kuala Terengganu. It is renowned for its unique architecture and cultural importance. Even while it has historical value, efforts to preserve it digitally and raise public awareness are still limited, especially among younger people. The main goal of this project is to make an interactive Augmented Reality (AR) mobile app and devices like PCs that show off the architecture and cultural aspects of Rumah Warisan Haji Su in a fun and instructive way. Interviews, observations, surveys, and site visits were used to gather data for this study, and academic and historical sources were used to back it up. This project employs the ADDIE paradigm, which consists of five steps: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Students, travellers, and those who love history will be the main users of this AR app. The study found that AR technology can greatly increase people's interest in and comprehension of cultural heritage. The results indicate that interactive elements like 3D models, touch hotspots, and voice narration may provide an immersive experience while keeping historical information intact. Therefore using AR technology not only helps preserve culture, but it also encourages the use of new instructional tools in heritage tourism.
