ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION: In today's eco-conscious era, the demand for effective and sustainable cleaning solutions is high. This project introduces an innovative stain remover formulated with bilimbi, known for its acidic properties. By harnessing bilimbi's stain-removing capabilities, this eco-friendly solution offers a promising approach to tackle stubborn stains, promoting sustainability. Through testing, the project aims to demonstrate efficacy and safety, contributing to cleaner, healthier environments, especially in schools. MTHODOLOGY: To begin, thoroughly wash the bilimbi fruits to remove any dirt or debris, ensuring cleanliness before extraction. Once cleaned, cut the bilimbi fruits into smaller pieces to facilitate the juicing process. Next, extract the juice from the bilimbi pieces using a blender or food processor. Blend the bilimbi pieces until they form a smooth pulp, adding a small amount of water if necessary to aid in the blending process. After blending, strain the pulp using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth placed over a bowl to filter out the juice. Press down on the pulp with a spoon or spatula to extract as much juice as possible.Once the juice is collected, transfer it into a clean spray bottle for convenient application. Ensure that the spray bottle is clean and sterilized to maintain the integrity of the juice. Store the filtered bilimbi juice in the refrigerator to preserve its freshness and effectiveness. Refrigeration helps extend the shelf life of the juice and maintains its stain-removing properties over time. When ready to use, simply remove the spray bottle from the refrigerator and apply the bilimbi juice directly to the stained area. Allow the juice to sit for a few minutes before wiping or rinsing away the stain.By following these steps, you can effectively filter out bilimbi juice, store it conveniently in a spray bottle, and utilize it for stain removal with ease and efficiency.
