The development of MOOCs for Ayat dan Hadis Ahkam and Halal Certification Standard at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) offers an innovative approach to advancing education in Islamic Studies and the Halal industry. The MOOCs were developed using digital instructional design models, incorporating self-paced modules, interactive videos, quizzes, and virtual learning tools. The Ayat dan Hadis Ahkam MOOC focuses on key Quranic verses and Hadith related to Islamic rulings, while the Halal Certification Standard MOOC delivers in-depth knowledge of Halal certification procedures and governance. These award-winning MOOCs align with the aspirations of Industrial Revolution 5.0 by promoting personalized, technology-driven learning. They enhance knowledge retention, increase accessibility, and encourage active participation. This innovation not only bridges traditional Islamic scholarship with modern industry needs but also supports national efforts to strengthen the Halal ecosystem. With scalable potential, this MOOC model can be expanded to other Islamic and professional disciplines, empowering future-ready graduates with both religious literacy and practical skills.
