LIFER 2.0 is an interactive digital platform developed to support Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 14: Life Below Water by increasing awareness and knowledge of ocean conservation among students and the wider community. The project addresses the growing issues of marine pollution, habitat destruction, and limited public awareness regarding the importance of protecting marine ecosystems.
The platform combines educational content with interactive features such as quizzes, games, ocean conservation information, and awareness activities to create a more engaging learning experience. LIFER 2.0 also introduces an AI chatbot that allows users to obtain information about marine conservation in a more interactive and user-friendly manner. By integrating technology and gamification, the platform encourages users to learn, participate, and adopt environmentally responsible behaviours.
The project was developed using web technologies and designed to be accessible through computers and mobile devices. LIFER 2.0 has the potential to be used by schools, environmental organizations, and community groups as an educational and awareness tool. Future expansion includes collaborations with educational institutions and environmental agencies, as well as the development of a dedicated mobile application.
Overall, LIFER 2.0 demonstrates how digital innovation can be used to promote environmental education, support ocean sustainability, and inspire positive action towards protecting marine life for future generations.
