River pollution in Malaysia is worsening due to plastic debris and improper waste disposal, threatening aquatic ecosystems and increasing flood risks. This project introduces an autonomous floating waste collector designed with a stable dual float structure, rotating collection mechanism and removable storage compartment powered by solar energy. The prototype was constructed using recycled materials and tested in controlled conditions, collecting an average of thirteen plastic items within five minutes. The innovation demonstrates cost effectiveness, environmental safety and practical scalability for rural rivers. By integrating sustainable engineering and community awareness, this solution supports long term river conservation and national environmental sustainability goals.
