This project develops a Self-Awning System using an Arduino Uno, a YL-83 rain sensor, and a servo motor to provide automatic rain protection. The system detects rain and activates the awning within 3.5 seconds, compared to 120 seconds manually. Test results show improved rain protection from 60% (manual) to 95% (automatic), proving it to be faster and more efficient. The system reduces human intervention, making it ideal for homes, schools, and public spaces. It enhances safety, prevents property damage, and benefits individuals with mobility challenges or busy lifestyles by offering a reliable and convenient rain protection solution.
