ECOBIN is a simple and eco-friendly innovation designed to promote recycling and environmental awareness among students. This project supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12: Responsible Consumption and Production by encouraging the reuse of waste materials and reducing environmental pollution.
The ECOBIN is made using low-cost recycled materials such as cardboard, colored paper, glue, and tape. The project aims to create a useful dustbin, reduce waste, and develop students’ creativity and problem-solving skills. The dustbin can be used to collect paper waste and other dry recyclable materials, helping to keep the surroundings clean and organized.
The construction process involves cutting and shaping cardboard into a cylindrical dustbin, strengthening it with glue and tape, and decorating it to make it attractive and user-friendly. The innovation demonstrates how simple waste materials can be transformed into useful products through creative thinking.
In conclusion, ECOBIN is a practical, affordable, and environmentally friendly solution that promotes recycling habits among students. This project increases awareness about waste management while encouraging responsible environmental practices for a cleaner and greener future.
