The Sustainable Fruit – Peel Trivet project is an innovation that uses fruit peels such as sugarcane bagasse and coconut waste to create an eco-friendly hot pad (trivet). The peels are dried, ground, and mixed with natural binders, then molded into the final product.

The trivet was tested for heat resistance, strength, and texture, and can withstand heat up to 100°C without damage. It is odorless, safe to use, and showcases the natural color and texture of the fruit peels, making it unique and marketable as eco-friendly homeware.

This project not only adds value to food waste but also encourages creativity in solving environmental issues through low-cost and sustainable innovation. It raises public awareness of recycling and environmental sustainability using daily waste materials.
