Urban air pollution and seasonal haze severely compromise indoor air quality through PM2.5 infiltration, causing respiratory health issues. Conventional air purifiers remain expensive, energy-intensive, and lack automated responsiveness to sudden pollution spikes. To bridge this gap, the Haze-Guard Smart Window System presents an affordable, automated retrofit solution that preserves natural ventilation. Integrating PM2.5 sensors, mechanical actuators, nano-filtration membranes, and IoT monitoring, the system dynamically detects ambient pollution thresholds to automatically seal windows during hazardous events. Haze-Guard provides a low-cost, energy-efficient, and proactive defense framework for modern smart-building health and environmental resilience.
