Conventional language instruction struggles to sustain engagement in multilingual learners, and digital tools rarely address indigenous language needs. QuadraLingo Quest is a mobile game-based learning platform integrating Malay, English, Mandarin, and Kadazan—an indigenous language of Sabah, Malaysia. Developed through needs analysis, content design, and prototype testing, the platform applies Mayer's Multimedia Learning Theory and gamification principles to support acquisition across all four languages. The design prioritises equal structural treatment of Kadazan alongside international languages. Anticipated outcomes include improved multilingual retention, sustained learner motivation, and increased exposure to Kadazan among younger speakers, contributing to language competency development and indigenous heritage sustainability.
