Postharvest losses remain a major challenge to global food security, yet postharvest science is often difficult to teach due to the complexity of quality deterioration processes and their limited visibility in conventional classrooms. This study introduces the Postharvest Detective Kit, a gamified inquiry-based instructional intervention developed for AGR626: Postharvest Handling and Processing. Integrating QR-enabled digital comics, case-based investigations, clue analysis, solution matching, and code-unlocking activities, the innovation transforms postharvest concepts into an immersive learning experience. The intervention promotes scientific reasoning, evidence-based problem solving, learner engagement, and food loss awareness, providing a novel pedagogical approach for postharvest education
