Students with hearing disabilities often face significant challenges in accessing and engaging with spoken classroom instruction, which can hinder their understanding, participation, and overall learning experience. This project introduces SignBridge, an AI-powered sign language avatar application designed to promote inclusive learning environments. The app converts lecturers’ speech into real-time sign language through an animated avatar while simultaneously generating live captions. In addition, it records lessons with synchronized audio and captions for later review, allowing students to revisit content at their own pace. SignBridge also organises learning materials into structured weekly folders and supports both lecture and tutorial modes, enhancing flexibility and accessibility. By integrating speech recognition, text processing, and visual sign language representation, the system addresses communication barriers commonly faced by students with hearing impairments. Ultimately, SignBridge aims to improve comprehension, boost confidence in participation, and provide equitable access to education, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goal 4.0 Quality Education, and leaving no student behind.
