The Rainergy Roof System is an innovative and environmentally friendly solution developed to solve two major issues commonly faced by homes in tropical climates: excessive roof heat and the wastage of rainwater resources. In Malaysia, rooftops absorb a significant amount of heat during the day, which increases indoor temperature, reduces occupant comfort, and leads to continuous dependence on air conditioning. This reliance not only increases electricity costs but also contributes negatively to the environment. At the same time, the abundance of rainwater is often underutilized despite its potential for various domestic uses. This project aims to develop an integrated smart system capable of automatically cooling the roof while reusing harvested and stored rainwater.
