The emotional well-being of older adults, especially those living alone, greatly affects their health and independence. Loneliness and depression are common, often leading to decline. Deep learning models like CNNs now enable real-time emotion detection through facial expressions. These insights, delivered via mobile apps, help caregivers monitor emotions and respond quickly. Unlike wearables, software-based systems are more affordable, accessible, and user-friendly. This approach improves mental health, reduces loneliness, and supports compassionate elderly care by fostering emotional connection and independence.
