Commercial supersonic travel ceased in 2003 with the retirement of the Anglo-French Concorde. Decades later, interest has shifted toward hypersonic aviation, highlighted by the "Concorde II" design patented by Airbus. This paper presents a comparative structural and aerodynamic analysis between the original Concorde and the proposed Concorde II. While the original relied on a slender delta wing and turbojets to achieve Mach 2.0, Concorde II utilizes a hybrid propulsion system—including rocket engines and ramjets—aiming for speeds up to Mach 4.5. This study evaluates differences in passenger capacity, drag coefficients, environmental noise pollution, and propulsion limits to understand the viability of next-generation commercial flight.
