Monitoring postgraduate student progress is essential to ensure timely completion and uphold academic standards. Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) recognised several challenges in the traditional method of submitting progress reports, including inconsistent documentation, reporting delays, and limited transparency. To overcome these issues, the university developed Module 5 under the UiTM Postgraduate Tracking System (UPTRACKS), aimed at streamlining the progress report submission process. This module integrates key features such as online submissions, supervisor feedback, and compliance tracking into a single platform. The implementation of Module 5 has strengthened academic governance by improving communication between students and supervisors, increasing accountability, and enhancing the overall postgraduate experience. This initiative not only addresses previous inefficiencies but also supports a more structured and transparent system of postgraduate monitoring within UiTM.
