iRainTank is a forward-thinking proof-of-concept designed to bring smarter rainwater harvesting into Malaysian homes. It blends traditional water collection methods with modern IoT technology to address a very real issue, our heavy dependence on centralised water supply and the frequent disruptions caused by droughts or maintenance work.

The system works by efficiently collecting rainwater and filtering it through multiple layers to ensure better quality. Built-in sensors continuously monitor important indicators such as pH levels and tank capacity, giving homeowners real-time insights into their water supply. All this information is presented through a dedicated mobile application, making it easy for users to understand and manage their water usage more confidently.

What sets iRainTank apart is its ability to turn a typically passive system into an interactive and user-controlled experience. With a simple digital interface, users can seamlessly switch between stored rainwater and the main water supply whenever needed especially useful during unexpected shortages.

Although currently developed as a working prototype, iRainTank represents a scalable and practical approach to alternative water solutions.
