Abstract
Red Zone Alert is an innovative mobile application developed to enhance dengue prevention and public awareness in Malaysia. As dengue cases continue to increase and mosquito control measures face challenges due to growing insecticide resistance, there is a need for complementary approaches that empower communities to take preventive action. The application provides users with real-time information on dengue hotspot areas through an interactive map and location-based alerts, enabling them to identify high-risk zones and make informed decisions. In addition, Red Zone Alert offers educational resources on dengue symptoms, prevention methods, and current outbreak information. By improving access to timely and relevant data, the application promotes community engagement, encourages proactive health behaviors, and supports national efforts to reduce dengue transmission through the use of digital technology and public participation.
