ST1500: PULSE ELEGANCE IOT HEART MONITOR

FELYNA ANAK FEDRICK Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah

The Pulse Elegance IoT Heart Monitor is an innovative health monitoring system designed to provide continuous, real-time heart rate tracking using Internet of Things (IoT) technology. With the growing need for remote healthcare solutions, this project addresses the challenge of monitoring heart conditions outside of clinical environments by integrating sensors, wireless connectivity, and mobile applications. The objective of the project is to develop a system that not only measures heart rate but also detects abnormal values by setting customizable thresholds. In doing so, it provides timely alerts to users and clinicians when heart rate readings are either too high or too low, enabling swift medical intervention and enhancing patient safety. To achieve this, a heart rate sensor was interfaced with an ESP32 Dev Module, which transmits data wirelessly via Wi-Fi to the Blynk mobile application. The system allows users to monitor live heart rate data, set upper and lower limits, and receive notifications when those limits are crossed. This methodology ensures seamless communication between the user and the monitoring device, with minimal latency and high reliability. The results confirm the system’s ability to continuously track heart rate, visualize data in real time, and issue alerts based on threshold breaches. This makes it a practical solution for individuals requiring constant heart monitoring, particularly those with chronic cardiovascular conditions. In conclusion, the Pulse Elegance system demonstrates the effective application of IoT in healthcare, offering a smart and accessible solution for remote patient monitoring. It not only reduces the need for frequent clinical visits but also enhances early detection and response to potential heart-related issues, contributing positively to both the engineering field and societal well-being.
