Abstract: Smart Watering System – An Automated Plant Care Solution

Many households struggle to maintain their plants due to busy schedules, leading to unintentional neglect and plant loss. Our innovation, the Smart Watering System, provides an automated solution to ensure plants receive optimal hydration with minimal human intervention.

This system features a water container equipped with a pump and a moisture sensor. The sensor continuously monitors soil moisture levels and activates the pump when the soil becomes too dry. The pump then waters the plant for a preset duration, ensuring precise hydration without the risk of overwatering or underwatering. The water container only requires refilling about once a month, making plant care effortless.

Unlike conventional timer-based watering systems, which often lead to excessive water usage and root rot, our Smart Watering System optimizes water efficiency while maintaining plant health. Its standalone design allows easy integration into existing pots and can be scaled to support multiple plants using additional sensors and hoses.
