Unpredictable weather conditions and high humidity levels often create challenges in the clothes-drying process. Sudden rainfall can cause clothes that are being dried outdoors to become wet again, especially when users are not at home to monitor the drying conditions.

The Smart Clothes Drying Rack project is proposed as an innovative smart drying rack that utilizes Internet of Things (IoT) technology and an automation system. The system is equipped with several sensors, such as a rain sensor and a humidity sensor, to monitor environmental conditions in real time. When rain is detected or humidity levels increase, the drying rack automatically moves to a sheltered area to protect the clothes from getting wet.

In addition, users can monitor the status of the drying rack through a smartphone application connected to a microcontroller Arduino. This innovation helps simplify users' daily activities while reducing dependence on electric clothes dryers, which consume a significant amount of energy.
