Children trapped in parked vehicles face life-threatening risks due to rapidly rising interior temperatures, even in mild weather. This paper reviews current safety alert systems, including pressure sensors, motion detectors, and smartphone notifications, designed to prevent such incidents. It also emphasizes the role of public awareness and regulatory measures mandating rear-seat occupant alerts. A proposed multi-layered safety framework integrates real-time alerts to guardians and emergency services. By combining technology and education, this study highlights the need for collaborative efforts among automakers, regulators, and caregivers to prevent fatalities and ensure the safety of children in vehicles.
