This study explores the development and evaluation of Self Defense Adventure Game: Safety
Skills For Her a designed to enhance 3D interactive role-playing game designed to empower
young women by teaching them situational awareness and fundamental self-defence
techniques. This study examines the creation and assessment of the game. Many young women
lack the knowledge and confidence to react appropriately in threatening situations and are not
aware of how to recognise possible threats early. The game tackles this problem by presenting
real-life-inspired scenarios, like harassment in remote locations or on public transportation,
where players must act quickly and practise basic self-defence skills. Developed with Unity,
Blender, and C# scripting, the game simulates real-world threats with animated responses,
visual prompts, and branching narratives. This project implemented Agile Methodology as its
methodology and also applied Serious Game Design Assessment Framework is the most
suitable for developing this application successfully. Its main target audience was female
university students, and it was intended to be both entertaining and educational. There were 30
participants participated in a pre- and post-assessment using the KAP (Knowledge, Attitude,
and Practice) model. Following gameplay, the results revealed a notable improvement in each
of the three components. According to the mean score scale, the average post-test mean scores
were Knowledge (4.46), Attitude (4.41), and Practice (4.44), indicating a Very High
Effectiveness level. These results show that the game effectively raised users' awareness, self assurance, and preparedness to deal with dangerous circumstances. This project demonstrates
how serious games can be an effective tool for teaching people about personal safety in addition
to being used for entertainment. To make the game more accessible and immersive, future
updates will include increasing the variety of scenarios, enhancing the animation, and enabling
cross-platform play.
